About Us

Who We Are:

Community Basket Mobile Farmers Market (CBMFM) is the only mobile produce donations space of its kind in the region. Our goal is to provide access to fresh, locally sourced produce in southern Dallas communities where it is not readily available. We are here for those who love fresh fruits and vegetables, but struggle with produce accessibility and pricing barriers from external grocers. We offer fresh produce donations at convenient locations alongside vital nutrition education. Because when you and your family eat healthier, you are helping enrich your own lives, and your community as a whole.

This mobile farmer's market, represented by a partnership between Toyota Motor of North America (TMNA), Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Dallas College: Cedar Valley, and UNT Dallas’ SERCH Institute, highlights and supports the growth, revitalization, and entrepreneurship of our local communities by way of education, research, and outreach.

Purpose:

Community Basket is the only mobile farmer's market of its kind within the region. Our goal is to provide access to fresh, locally-sourced produce in communities where such is not readily available. We’re here for those who love fresh fruits and vegetables but struggle to purchase them due to inaccessibility or pricing barriers from external grocers.

We offer fresh produce at convenient locations alongside vital nutritional education. We do this because when you and your family eat healthier, you are not only helping to enrich your own lives, but your community as a whole.
